When I voted in 2023 I knew what and who Smith was all about based on her past actions and long time associates. I did not vote against my own best interests and those of fellow Albertan’s. I fought hard to get people to see who Smith really was. Fortunate for me my cluster of Calgary friends saw Smith for who she was as well and she has proved is all correct. We also knew what Kenney was as well and we know what a threat the “will vote nothing but Conservative” voters are to the future success of Alberta.
KayDee, Kenney sent mixed messages re: IQ47. If he was anti-trump, which is Orangephobic, I would have respected Kenney. He sat on the fence, deploring some of trump's actions, accepting others.

This is an interesting phrase written by Gibbons 250 years ago and what Neoliberal Canadian Conservative Leaders are doing. Smith and Ford. Trump of course started in 2016 normalization of new offensive laws and behaviour and the USA Heritage Foundation wrote a 1000 page guide on Gibbons quote.

Like usual Prairies Exposed hit the nail on the head. Other things we didn't vote for was deliberate destruction of or Healthcare in order to justify privatization. Expanding using public tax money to expand private school expansion. I didn't vote for the corrupt behaviour of many Ministers in their portfolio only to have them moved to a new portfolio and corrupt it. I didn't vote for the way Smith asks Albertans for their opinions and either ignores them or just does what ever she planned or who in the minority whispered in her ear like Dave Parker. I didn't vote to be distracted by so many court cases on corrupt, ignoring our Canadian Constitution and Courts ruling on Aboriginal Consultation. I didn't vote to have year round daylight savings time to have the Grassy Mountain Coal continue to morph into one virus or another completely at odds with public opinion. I also didn’t sign up for the government PR chief to personally attack a legitimate question asked, by insinuating she was following crazy left wing ideas and was disturbed. I find the crazy right wing policies being implemented to be at odds with the majority of Albertans and Canadians values on social benefits. I could go on, but I am a well read, educated Canadian and I intend to remain Canadian. I tremble at the thought of Smith and chronies being responsible a n d having control of of or legal system when they have blatant disrespect for the courts and laws. Control of immigration is simple racism disguised as being responsible. I have been eligible to vote for over 60 years in 3 different Western Provinces and this government is incomparable for its dishonesty, corruption and policies.

One step after another this planned execution is gaining momentum as citizens loose rights, representation and ultimately the ability to vote this nonsense out of power. When Smith went to the polls in 2023, she was intent on Authority and she continues to execute.
Deceitful, deceptive, obstructive and just plain dishonest would describe this ucp government no matter which of its two leaders we reference.
Kenney had his own private agenda to follow the leadership of Harper in the worldwide conservative movement to elitism. His actions past will not be outdone by his current actions. Stripes don’t change.
Smith is another breed of cat. She cares first, last and foremost for Smith.
She satisfies her sociopathic tendencies by association with financial elites thinking they’ll hook her up to their wagon.
She’s wrong, once she’s used up they’ll dump her like, shall we say Fascist pancakes!
In the meantime she will say or do anything to keep her in that position. It might be said she’s the talking head manipulated like a ventriloquist dummy by the Rib Anderson’s of her world.
She had the opportunity to do good things for Albertans. She could have actually fulfilled the mandate she ran on.
Instead she chose to be completely without grace.
Instead she chose war with everyday Albertans
Instead she chose silence to lend credibility to Alberta’s enemies.
Instead she chose to ignore legitimate citizen actions.
Instead she chose elites over Albertans.
Damnatio memoriae is what I choose for you Mrs David Smith Moretta and for all your UCP caucus and membership. You didn’t forget who you serve, you chose another master.
Let's not forget UCP MLAs swore an oath to the Crown, which means the separatist MLAs betray their oath. And they lied. At one time, that was a hanging offense.
